Solar Ranch - An FPL Eco-Discovery Center©

Located within Babcock Ranch in Punta Gorda, Solar Ranch – An FPL Eco-Discovery Center is a 2,500-square-foot free, educational facility. It is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Solar Ranch is an educational resource where people of all ages can learn about solar energy with hands-on, interactive exhibits.  Learn how a solar energy center works, test out your skills with an electric vehicle driving simulator, and discover native plants and animals in the region. Throughout the center, there are QR codes that you can scan with your smartphone to learn more information.  There is a three-story tower outside with an easy-to-climb walkway for visitors with informative exhibits showcasing the benefits of solar.

Solar Ranch – An FPL Eco-Discovery Center serves as a gateway to educate the public about the unique partnership between FPL and Babcock Ranch and the benefits of solar energy for people across Florida and the environment.
