Attendees will see images and hear descriptions of individual manatees frequently seen right here at Manatee Lagoon. Several of them have successful rescue and rehabilitation histories, helping attendees learn how to identify injured manatees, with a glimpse into FWC’s manatee rescue program.
About the Presenter: Amber Howell has been working for FWC since 2009 as a manatee biologist covering the entire southeast region of Florida from Ft Pierce to Key West and Lake Okeechobee for all manatee rescues, research, and carcass salvage.
