Originally from Pennsylvania, she began her career in nursing before discovering her true calling in marine science. Her journey brought her to Florida, where she completed a nine-month photo ID internship with Florida Fish and Wildlife, earned a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University, and later a Ph.D. from Florida Atlantic University, focusing on manatee vocalizations. After a three-year postdoctoral role at Mote Marine Laboratory, Dr. Brady joined Save the Manatee Club, where she now leads research and conservation initiatives for manatee species worldwide.

Founded in 1981 by the late Jimmy Buffett and former Florida Governor Bob Graham, Save the Manatee Club is a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to protecting manatees and their habitats. The organization champions public education, research funding, rescue and rehabilitation programs, and advocacy for stronger protections. Its efforts extend beyond Florida to the Wider Caribbean, South America, and West Africa.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from Dr. Brady’s expertise and discover how you can play a role in safeguarding these gentle giants for generations to come.
