FAQs

How many people will be on the tour?

This is a small capacity program focused on providing guests with a specially-curated guided experience at each wildlife facility. There is a maximum of 25 passengers per tour.

How long is the tour?

The tour lasts 4.5 hours from start to finish. Each guest will have approximately 1-hour at each location, with at least 30-minutes of guided activity at each location and extra time to self-guide, shop, and/or use restroom facilities.

All ages are welcome on the tour, however due to the length and nature of the guided experiences, we do not recommend this tour for children under 6.

What if it rains, or we experience unfavorable weather?

As this tour is designed for wildlife encounters and outdoor spaces, we will cancel tours in the event of severe rains, lightning or other severe weather warnings. A full refund will be offered on these occasions. Intermittent rain will not warrant cancellation, as quality wildlife encounters are still possible and the conservation work does not stop!

What do I need to bring? Will I be outside all day?

Each facility has both indoor and outdoor areas, but the majority of the animal encounters will be hosted outdoors with shade shelter. However, a hat/head protection, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes are strongly encouraged.

What is the transportation like?

Transportation is on the Ocean Connection shuttle bus, a 28-passenger shuttle designed to provide a comfortable short ride from out partner locations. The seating is not bench-style; each passenger has their own seat. The longest leg of this multi-stop tour is 30 minutes.

What is included with the boxed lunch?

Each guest will receive a boxed lunch with a sandwich, chips and a canned water. Snacks are available for purchase at each partner location or can be brought from home to enjoy throughout the tour where food is permitted.

I have a time constraint. Is it possible to drive separate and leave the tour early?

To experience the full diversity of conservation in Palm Beach County and as the WILD in the Palm Beaches experience is exclusive to our guests, each guest is asked to participate in the entire tour. Please call 561-627-8280 x119 if you have concerns with the duration of the tour.

Is my registered ADA task-trained service animal allowed on the tour?
